MOUNT FOREST – An Amaranth man faces a number of charges following a recent traffic stop here.

On Oct. 15 at about 4am a Wellington County OPP officer initiated a traffic stop of a red sedan on Main Street North in Mount Forest.

Sean Phillip Smith, 25, of Amaranth Township, was charged with failing to comply with a release order, possession of break-in instruments and possession of Schedule I substance (methamphetamine).

He is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.

No insurance

FERGUS – On Oct. 13 at about 7am  a Wellington County OPP officer stopped the operator of a black sedan on Middleton Avenue here.

A 29-year-old driver from Erin was charged with driving without insurance, making unnecessary noise, using unauthorized plates and driving without a permit. The defendant is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
