Police Beat: Didn’t stop for police

WELLINGTON NORTH – 

On Oct. 17 at about 2:30pm a Wellington County OPP officer attempted to stop a vehicle traveling about 120km/h in an 80 zone on Wellington Road 109 here.

“The vehicle did not initially pull over for the officer and was stopped later on down the road by a second officer,” police stated in a press release.

A 66-year-old from Mississauga was charged with speeding, failing to stop for an emergency vehicle, drawing a trailer with no plate and improper brakes, failing to surrender a permit for a trailer and having an improper mirror. 

Police say the defendant is to appear in Guelph court on Feb. 6.
