Pleased with community response
Centre Wellington councillor Kirk McElwain is pleased with the community’s support of the recent fundraising drive for the Elora Greenspace.
McElwain said the effort successfully raised $8,500.
“There is still $6,500 left to raise and we’re working on it. We are very happy with the response from the public.”
The fundraising campaign was set up to pay off the remaining loan incurred with the creation of the park-like area at the intersection of Mill and Metcalfe Streets in Elora.
Councillor Steven VanLeeuwen agreed the level of support received for the project was good News.
