Pet per day helped in 2012 at UCHS

Officials with the  Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS) say they are pleased with the facility’s year-end figures from 2012.

Recently the facility, located on Trafalgar Road, south of Brisbane, announced that last year, with the help of generous people in the area, it found “forever homes” for 363 animals, including:

- 129 dogs;

- 128 cats;

- 104 kittens; and

- two rabbits.

“We’re very happy with that. It’s very good,” UCHS supervisor Jody Collicutt told the .

He said the private facility will help any and all animals in the area that need assistance.

The UCHS website states the facility’s goal is “to facilitate and provide leadership on matters related to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of animal welfare in the communities served.”
