Parent charged with supplying liquor to teens

GUELPH – A Guelph woman has been charged with providing alcohol to children after police were called to her daughter’s 14th birthday party.

Just after 11pm on July 14, police were called to a reported house party near Victoria Road South and York Road. 

“A witness advised several teens were outside fighting,” police stated in a press release.

“Officers arrived and spoke to the involved parties. Two males, aged 13 and 14, were very intoxicated and were sent home with their parents. The only adult on scene advised her daughter was having a 14th birthday party.”

A 43-year-old Guelph woman was charged with knowingly supplying liquor to persons under 19.
