Palmerston pair charged after drug bust last week

A Palmerston man and woman are among three people charged with a litany of offences following a drug bust here last week.

On Feb. 14, OPP officers (including the  Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, the West Region Emergency Response Team, and West Region Canine unit) executed a search warrant at a residence on Inkerman Street in Palmerston.

Police say officers seized methamphetamine, oxycodone, morphine, ecstasy and cannabis marijuana with an estimated combined street value of over $35,000.

Police also seized drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, a stolen motorcycle, and two prohibited weapons.

Mathew Drumond, 31, of Palmerston, was charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking in methamphetamine, oxycodone, morphine, MDMA (ecstasy), and cannabis marijuana;  possession of property obtained by crime over ($5,000); two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon; two counts of failing to comply with probation order; and six counts of failing to comply with a weapons prohibition order.

Jason Brown, 42, of no fixed address, was charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking in methamphetamine, oxycodone, morphine, MDMA (ecstasy), and cannabis marijuana; possession of methamphetamine; possession of property obtained by crime over ($5,000); two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon; and two counts of failing to comply with a weapons prohibition order.

Samantha Klonikowski, 26, of Palmerston, was charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking in methamphetamine, oxycodone, morphine, MDMA (ecstasy), and cannabis marijuana; possession of methamphetamine; possession of property obtained by crime over ($5,000); and two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

All accused parties were held for bail.
