Palmerston man dead after two-vehicle crash in North Perth

NORTH PERTH – A Palmerston man is dead following a two-vehicle collision here on Monday.

Perth County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the crash on Line 91, west of Perth Road 140, on Aug. 15 at around 11:45am.

Police say a passenger vehicle collided with a commercial vehicle and the driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified as John Cherry, 87, of Palmerston.

There were no other injuries reported, police say.

The investigation is ongoing, and members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team are assisting Perth County OPP with the investigation.

A portion of Line 91, between roads 140 and 136, remains closed for the investigation.
