Over $19,000 in Gift of Community Support campaign
The support of the local community has helped East Wellington Community Services reach over 75% of its goal in the organization’s Annual Give the Gift of Community Support Campaign.
To date, over $19,000 has been raised towards the $25,000 fundraising goal for the 2012-2013 season.
As the campaign draws to a close on Jan. 19, organizers remain hopeful of reaching the fundraising target.
The money provides funds for many local programs and services including the food bank, seniors adult day programs, active seniors, our new telassurance and friendly visiting program through partnership with the VON, information and referral services and more.
Donations do make a difference by helping the agency distribute food to those in need, provide transportation to seniors who would otherwise remain isolated at home or contribute to children’s programs.
