OPP officers seize property connected to sexual assaults

WELLINGTON NORTH – Police have seized property in connection with a sexual assault investigation here.
On Nov. 22 Wellington County OPP executed a warrant at a residence on Southgate Road 4 near Conn and seized a 2015 pickup truck, a 2018 ATV, and a 16-foot fishing boat and trailer.
Police say the property was “used in crime” by Raymond Walter Squires, 55, of Minto, who was charged in connection with alleged sexual assaults on young male victims this summer.
Squires was charged with
– providing false information under the Sex Offender Information Registration Act;
– two counts of invitation to sexual touching;
– three counts of failing to comply with a prohibition order in relation to children;
– four counts of sexual interference; and
– four counts of sexual assault.
