OPP looking for thieves who targeted cemetery

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – Police are looking for help to catch the people responsible for stealing 13 memorial plaques from the Marymount Cemetery here.

Wellington County OPP officers were called to the cemetery, located on Highway 6 just north of Guelph, on Sept. 1 at about 9:30am.

Police say that sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, thieves stole 13 bronze-plated bench and tree memorial plaques from the cemetery.

Anyone with information can contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
