OPP locates man, reunites him with dog
Police have located a man they said may have been be missing.
On Aug. 29 Wellington County OPP found an unaccompanied dog near a trail on Birmingham Street East at Church Street in Mount Forest.
“A witness had seen a local man, familiar to the area but name unknown, walking his dog as per usual,” police stated in a press release.
“A short time later the dog was found unattended. The dog has since been turned over to animal control.”
Police say OPP officers canvassed the area but were not able to identify or locate the man.
On Aug. 30 police stated that "w
ith the assistance of the public the OPP have located the male in good health and are in the process of connecting him to his dog."
