OPP investigating overnight thefts in Fergus

Police are investigating after a number of thefts from homes and vehicles in Fergus.

In the early hours of June 6, Wellington County OPP started receiving reports of items stolen overnight from homes and vehicles throughout the town.

“Police are actively investigating these incidents and are asking anyone that may have been victimized or might have witnessed any suspicious activities to contact Wellington county OPP immediately,” police stated in a press release.

In a later press release, police released the following list of items stolen in the overnight spree in Fergus:

– Union Street East residence: a TV, three cell phones and other electronics;

– Elgin Street residence: an android box and $60 cash;

– Shortreed Avenue residence: iPhone;

– McTavish Street vehicle entry; iPad mini; and

– Highland Road outbuilding and vehicle entry: a quantity of alcohol and an iPAD.
