OPP investigating after Fergus resident taken to hospital

FERGUS - OPP officials say police are investigating after a resident here was taken to hospital following some sort of altercation with "an unknown suspect."

On May 8 at about 4:30pm, emergency crews were called to a house on Forfar Street in Fergus.

Wellington County OPP officials say a resident "sustained injuries from an unknown suspect."

"The male was transported to a local hospital by Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services with non-life threatening injuries," police stated in a press release.

OPP officials say they "are in the preliminary steps of a criminal investigation," adding, "This is considered an isolated incident."
