Volunteering and building strong communities will be the focus of the Elora Lions Membership Night on April 9.

Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj will speak on the relationship between the township and service clubs in Centre Wellington and how they serve the community.

The meeting is open to the public and will take place at the Elora Legion on April 9 starting at 7pm with complimentary snacks and refreshments.

Elora Lions President Kevin Crozier describes the event as, “an opportunity for us to show what volunteering with our service club is all about and the importance of active service clubs in the community.”

As part of their ongoing membership plan, the club is organizing the evening to reach out to people interested in volunteering for local projects and events, as well as club membership.

For more information and to RSVP for the event email  elora@a15lions.org or call Stephanie at 519-820-3195.
