ARTHUR – About 40 people attended a drop-in open house at the Arthur and Area Community Centre on June 19 co-hosted by Tribute Communities and The Biglieri Group.
The developer shared its vision for a new neighbourhood with between 815 and 866 townhouses, semi-detached and detached homes in Arthur’s north end.
The proposed neighbourhood is also set to include environmental protection areas, recreational trails and parks.
The proposed development area is approximately 55 hectares (137 acres) in size.
Attendees viewed visual presentation boards and discussed the proposal with members of Tribute’s team. Experts in civil engineering, ecology, transportation engineering and urban planning were present, as well as Wellington North planning staff and councillors Steve McCabe and Lisa Hern.
“We received a lot of comments and suggestions on our proposed residential development which we will take back for consideration,” officials state. “Many people were glad we hosted the open house, as it gave them an opportunity to speak one-on-one with our consultants to discuss and ask questions regarding the various aspects of the project.”
