One person dead following three-vehicle crash near Moorefield
MAPLETON – One person has died and another has been taken to hospital following a serious three-vehicle crash southwest of Moorefield on Tuesday morning.
Police say emergency crews responded to the collision, on Wellington Road 10 between Booth Street (Concession 8) and Concession 6, at about 8:30am.
"As a result of the collision, one individual has been pronounced deceased," stated a Wellington County OPP press release.
"One other individual was taken to local hospital as a precaution with non-life-threatening injuries."
The next day police released an update identifying the deceased individual as a 70-year-old man from Listowel.
Wellington Road 10 was closed "for several hours" between Booth Street and Wellington Road 86 for the investigation and clean-up efforts.
