It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dwayne Bernard William Tremble who left us on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Dwayne was the cherished husband of Laura (Allen) and a rock-solid father to Nicole (Denis), Jake (Ayleen) and Sierra (Dylan). He was ‘Pa’, ‘Pop Pop’, or ‘Grandpa’ to grandson Brady and newest granddaughter Rory, and leaves us with countless memories and stories ready to be passed down to the two grandkids on the way. He was the loving son of Harold Tremble (predeceased by Sandra), and Dianne (Glenn) Steinacker, and dear son-in-law to Kathy Allen (predeceased by Leonard). Dwayne will be fondly remembered by his brother Maurice (Carol Ann), and was the proud uncle of Luke, Dianna (Owen), Kristen and Josh. He was a brother-in-law to Brett (Fiona) and Brad (Tammy) Allen, uncle to Kelsey (Michael), Katelyn (Aiden), Brayden, Matthew, Rhiannon, Meghan (Kevin), and Madison (Jake), and great-uncle to Nora, Grace, and Leo. Dwayne “T-Bone” Tremble had a storied hockey and lacrosse career – including stints on teams like the Arthur Eagles and Tigers, the Fergus Green Machine and the Arthur Aces. Tales of his athletic prowess can be found on Facebook with a search of his name. He was dedicated to each sport, but what mattered just as much to him was passing that love of the game down. He brought the same passion to the bench as he did in the arena, and will be remembered as the “MVT”, or Most Valuable Trainer by many who played on Grand Valley Minor Hockey and Arthur Aces Lacrosse teams. Dwayne began his career in autobody and, in later years, ran his own business. He will be remembered as always being there to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Family always came first, and his endless patience always shone through – whether it was hours spent rinkside at a hockey tournament, in a gymnasium watching a dance recital, or getting a horse to load on a trailer after a show. Dwayne will be forever known for his one liners, his love for Chevy trucks, the colour black, the Ottawa Senators, the Packers, bonfires, the great outdoors, peacefulness and stillness, and the quiet game, an appreciation for classic artists like Stompin’ Tom, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash (to name a few), knowledge of great cinematic masterpieces like Aloha Bobby and Rose, and his endless movie and music trivia. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arthur Aces Lacrosse via e-transfer to our Treasurer email, volunteerlax@gmail.com and any donations to Grand Valley Minor Hockey can be made to treasurer@gvmh.ca. We kindly ask that donors include the note “In Memory of Dwayne Tremble”.
