TAYLOR, Ian Daniel

at the age of 73 was called home by God on November 23, 2025. Ian left this world peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He is devastatingly missed by his wife and best friend of 49 years Connie, his son David and daughter Becky, daughter-in-law Bec and beloved grandchildren Charlotte, Cooper and Mackenzie. Predeceased by his son Daryl (2022), brothers Ralph, and Tom and Tom’s wife Anne and brother-in-law Stephen. Survived by his sister Leslie (Tony), brother Clive (Lydia), sister Anne (England) and mother-in-law June, sister-in laws Christine (Sylvain), Laurie (Greg) and nieces and nephews. Ian was known for his dry sense of humour and willingness to help anyone- family, friends, or even strangers. Ian was a big part of Centre Wellington Minor Softball for many years and actively supported his children and grandchildren in all of their sporting endeavours. He enjoyed being part of building and then cooking for St. James Anglican Church Chip Wagon. Ian was a carpenter and cabinet maker by trade, had an aluminum siding business, and was a well-respected skilled contractor and property maintenance manager. He will be missed by neighbours, friends and family. A celebration of Life will be held at the Fergus Legion, Monday December 1, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm. In honour of Ian, the family kindly asks that you perform an act of kindness in his memory. Please visit www.grahamgiddyfh.com for Ian’s online memorial.
