STOKLEY, Wayne (Ronald)

STOKLEY, Wayne (Ronald) August 19, 1950 – May 29, 2016; Passed away at home on May 29th 2016. He is deeply loved by his wife Barb, Daughter Erin and her Husband Dan Logher, Son Tyson and his wife Megan Stokley. His 5 grandchildren: Gavin and Keaghan Logher, Maisie, Makenna and Chase Stokley who will forever miss their beloved Papa. Wayne was a devoted son to Ron and Bev Stokley and brother to Joan (George) Buckley, Randy (Kim) Stokley and Tracey (Mike) Jolley. He is also survived by Barb’s family Doug (Ursula) Cropp, Patricia (David) Hall and Kate (Greg) Henderson. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Wayne and Barb were married for 42 years and enjoyed life’s adventures together. Wayne was a devoted father to Erin and Tyson. He took pride in being part of all their teams and celebrations as children and adults. Papa taught his grandchildren all that he loved about sports, cycling, swimming and skiing with wild enthusiasm. He never missed an opportunity to go see his grandchildren at their individual sports and his eyes lit up with love whenever they were around. No one ever left Papa’s house without a kiss, a hug and an ‘I Love You’. In 1974 Wayne began a dedicated teaching career at Galt Collegiate Institute as well as Eastwood Collegiate (1993-1998) and Cameron Heights (1998-2000 as a VP). He returned to his beloved Galt Collegiate Institute (G.C.I.) to finish out his career 2000-2005 as a Vice Principal. Wayne was an accomplished athlete, training for another Iron Man Triathlon with his Koala Running Club, as well as a ski and snowboarding instructor at Glen Eden. Just this past winter Wayne completed his Level 2 snowboarding certification. Wayne was a proud, loyal Puslinch Councillor first elected in 2010 and again in 2014. Puslinch was home to Wayne and Barb for 37 years. He was always looking forward to meeting his next goal and he always accomplished everything he set his mind to. We will miss his love and passion for a life well lived. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650). A Funeral Service will take place the following day at Galt Collegiate Institute (G.C.I.) – Tassie Hall, 200 Water Street N., Cambridge at 3pm.
