It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Susan, on September 22, 2025 at the age of 76 after a brief illness. She is now reunited with her beloved late husband Stewart (2015) and their cherished son Gary (2018). She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her sons and daughter-in-laws Stew and Paula, and Murray and Shannon. She was a proud Grandma “Gram” and leaves behind her adoring granddaughters, Grace (Ryan), Bella, Victoria, Carley and Alice. Susan is survived by her sister Lynne (Paul) O’Dwyer, brother Bob (Sylvia) Hunter, sister-in-law Sherly Weber, several nieces and nephews as well as her doting Aunt Nancy. Susan was predeceased by her parents Gib Hunter and Shirley (Ray) Walsh, parents-in-law Joseph and Grace Smith, brother-in-law Earl (Anita) Smith, sister-in-law Toots (Merv) Trask and brother-in-law Howard (Marg) Smith. A loving wife, mom, grandma and Friend to many, it was her selfless devotion to caring for her son Gary throughout his life that those close to her will remember her for the most. There was a Celebration of Life held at the Alma Community Centre, 51 Simpson Street, Alma ON., on Sunday September 28th from 1-4pm.
