Small, Heather Joan of Harriston passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in her 64th year, after a long hard battle with illness. Heather was the mother of Stephen Rivers and Tammy Janes of Clifford, and Melissa and Jim de Groot of Mount Forest, and step-mother of Steven and Julie Small of Mildmay. Grandmother of Jessica Rivers, Kyle Rivers, Haley Janes, Keira Chisholm, Bradley de Groot, Natasha de Groot, Owen Small and Christopher Small. Sister of Sharon and Greg Anderson of Cambridge and David Newbigging of Toronto, and aunt to Michael and Ann Hainsworth, and Paul and Sarah Hainsworth. She was predeceased by her parents Del and Ina Newbigging. Friends called at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service was held from the Clifford Community Church on Monday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Doug Bott officiating.
