Leslie passed away peacefully after a brief illness at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, at the age of 76. She was a vibrant, wonderful mother to Doug (Nicole) and Erin Ross (Jude), and a naturally loving grandmother to Noah, Ethan, Kennedy, Hope, Jordan, and Trenton. She was also a proud grandmother to her fur-baby, Luna. She will be remembered dearly by her siblings Scott, Christina, and Laurel (Paul), and was predeceased by her parents Jim and Daisi, and her brother Craig. Leslie was beautifully strong, independent, and endlessly witty—a true people person. Raised with a traditional mindset, she carried those roots while embracing the thrill of new experiences. Her zest for life was contagious, whether she was savouring a quiet moment or planning her next adventure. For many years, Leslie worked as a secretary with the Wellington Catholic School Board, where she brightened the halls of St. Joseph’s School in Guelph and St. John’s School in Arthur. She loved the connections she made with staff and students, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with. She enjoyed a good Caesar and had a love for food —she could eat anyone under the table. She had a knack for finding treasures in thrift shops, always seeing beauty where others might overlook it. When life demanded change, she met it head-on—reworking her path to support her children with quiet resilience and unwavering love. Family was everything to her, and she never missed a chance to spend time with her kids, grandkids, and siblings. Leslie leaves behind a beautiful and lasting legacy of love, humour, and strength for her family. A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm, with memories shared at 3:30pm, at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus, ON, 519-843-3100. In honour of Leslie’s vibrant life, guests are encouraged to wear casual attire and bright colours to her celebration. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family. Visit www.grahamgiddyfh.com for Leslie’s online memorial.
