Passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus at the age of 80. Neil leaves behind his adoring wife Ellen Roche (nee Fegan). He is survived by his son Lee (Sarah) and blended families of sons Will (Debbie), Phil and Chris (Mel). Neil was a grandfather to Kierstan, Katelyn, Baylee, Emma, Abi and Gavin and great grandfather to Landon and Owen. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Lydia Roche and sister Marion. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and extended family. Neil was an accomplished, awarding winning truck driver with 50 plus years of a safe driving record. Neil had a renowned witty sense of humour. He volunteered his time with many organizations and was an avid hockey player and loved to golf. Friends and family were received on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St David St S Fergus, ON N1M 2L5. A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 with interment at Belsyde Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to Groves Memorial Community Hospital or Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated by Neil’s family in lieu of flowers.
