It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Raftis of Guelph at the age of 72. Daughter of the late Alma G. (Heffernan) and Joseph T. Raftis. Dearly missed by her siblings, Sister Paula Maria of Presentation Manor, Scarborough, Pat and Eliana Raftis of Barrie, Ernie Raftis and Livia Keidan of London, Eddie and Michelle Raftis of Barrie, Mark and Maria Raftis of Fort McMurray and Paul Raftis of Missisauga. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Michael Raftis and his wife Theresa Raftis, Frank Raftis and her sister Anna Marie Raftis and her husband Bill Gammon. The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Arthur on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 12:00pm. Spring interment in St. John’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Arthur. As expressions of sympathy donations to Carmalite Sisters would be appreciated by the family.
