of Elora passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Dave Scharman for 14 years. Lovingly remembered by her sister Myrna Noecker McKinley of Fergus and nieces Janine (Stephen, Arianne, Marielle), Tracy, the late Lori (Gerry, Alex) and nephew Andrew (Natalie, Jaqueline, Angus) and her sister Lina Noecker of Waterloo, and niece Jennifer and nephew Jonathon (Jody). Also lovingly remembered as Grandma J by Dave’s family Jennifer Scharman of Elora (Amelia, Oliver, Sophia) and Rebecca Scharman of Waterloo (Matthew and Abigail). Fondly remembered by many friends and business associates. Janette was the founder and owner of Noecker Travel Agency in Elora from 1976 till her retirement in 2008. Due to her hard work the agency was known as the most successful travel agency in the area. She was also very active with the Elora Chamber of Commerce dating back to 1980. Janette was the Chairperson of the Local Architectural Conservation Authority. Predeceased by her parents Alton and Vivetta Noecker. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Friday, August 8, 2025. Interment graveside service was held in the Drayton Cemetery. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, August 8, 2025 in Aboyne Hall of the Wellington County Museum and Archives, Fergus, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre Foundation or the Hamilton Health Foundation Heart Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
