In Loving Memory of Donald “Ken” Kenneth McKenzie Ken McKenzie, 69, passed away on October 11, 2025, at Hospice Wellington in his hometown of Guelph, Ontario. Born on January 31, 1956, in Guelph, Ken spent his entire life rooted in the community he loved. He built a respected career as a plumber extraordinaire, known not only for his skill and dedication but also for the warmth and humor he brought to every job. His work left a lasting impact on countless homes and families throughout the region. Ken was a kind and funny man who cherished time with those closest to him. He found joy in simple pleasures—fishing on quiet mornings and walking his beloved dogs through familiar neighborhoods. These moments reflected his deep appreciation for nature and companionship. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; his daughter, Becky (Mike); his son, Josh; and his grandchildren, Hannah and Greyson. Predeceased by his mother Barbara McKenzie and his father Donald McKenzie (Joan). Ken was the oldest of four siblings, Deb Payne (Mike), Donna Cheyne (Dave), and Dwayne (Tecia) and their families. Ken’s legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren and the enduring love of his family. A funeral service will be held in Guelph, Ontario, honoring Ken’s life and the many ways he touched those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A viewing was held on October 22, 2025, from 5:00pm to 08:00pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home 1099 Gordon St. Guelph. A funeral service will be held on October 23, 2025, at 11:00am at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, with a reception to immediately follow.
