We sadly announce the passing of Lloyd Joseph Logel on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the age of 96. He will be fondly remembered. Beloved husband of the late Jean Logel (nee Williams). Loving father to Ann (Malcolm) Woods, Jean Smith, Ruth (Steve) Spitzer, Joe (Sara) Logel and late Ron (Sandra) Heffren. He will be dearly missed by 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Bernice Kienapple and Joan Hauck. Predeceased his parents, John and Edna (Baechler) Logel, brothers Alfred, Clarence and Harold Logel, and his sisters Audrey King, Dorothy Steffler, Helen Lauzon, and Mary Schlosser. For those who knew Lloyd, he had a wide variety of talents such as business owner of the New Royal Cleaners in Fergus, machinery, inventor of an amphibious vehicle and autobody repair specialist, to name a few. Lloyd was also an avid traveller, always with his wife Jean by his side. They travelled to Florida and Arizona for the winter with fellow snowbirds. Additional land & sea vacation spots beyond their adventures across Canada included Mexico, islands in the Caribbean, Hawaii and Italy. Family and friends will remember Lloyd for his good humour and hospitality. He always welcomed visitors for a beverage, a good meal and an evening playing cards. Visitation will be held on Friday January 9, 2026 at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus from 12-2pm followed by service in the chapel and a reception in the Wellington Room.
