Formerly of Drayton at the age of 88. In His time after many years of struggling God took to himself a dear husband, father, opa and great opa at Barnswallow Place. Beloved husband of Roelie (Martens) for 63 years. Remembered by his children Bert Katerberg, Frances and Adrian DeBoer, George Katerberg, Joanne and Marte Pronk and Susan and Todd Collins. Loved Opa of Jason and Katrina Katerberg; Eric DeBoer, Nicole DeBoer; Andrew and Brittney Pronk, Tyler and Leah Pronk, Nic and Emma Pronk, Devon Pronk; Taylor Vokey. Cherished great Opa of Andersen, Macklin, Radek, Daxton, Esme and Layne. Brother of Matty Engelage, Fenny Donkersgoed and John and Mary Katerberg. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Violet Katerberg, grandson-in-law Logan Green, parents Berend and Jacoba Katerberg, sisters Jean and Al Kiers, Minny and Kars Kiers, father-in-law and mother-in-law Geert and Femmie Martens and brothers-in-law Hill Engelage, Gary Donkersgoed Albert Martens, Sam Terpstra and sister-in-law Betty Martens. Fondly remembered by the Martens family Willy Martens, Femmy Terpstra, Adrian and Willie Kooy, Al Martens, Ralph and Marnie Martens. The family will receive friends at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church, 88 Main Street East, Drayton on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Drayton Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00am with spring interment in Drayton Cemetery.
