DYKSTERHUIS, Eileen – Eileen Lavina Dyksterhuis passed away on October 19, 2017 peacefully in her 75th year at Palmerston District Hospital with her family by her side. Eileen had many loves, one being her husband Henry of 58 years, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Loving mother of Linda Dyksterhuis of London, Barb (Mark) Dixon of Durham, Kathy Harrison and friend Barry of Bothwell, Chris (Tim) Gibson of Fordwich, David (Patty) Dyksterhuis of Woodstock and Tony Dyksterhuis of Arthur. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Survived by her twin sister Irene (Peter) Dyksterhuis of Guelph, sisters Doreen (Gary) Bennett of Windsor and Joyce Fynn of Kitchener and brother Howard (Bonnie) Martin of Elmira. Predeceased by her parents, an infant son, an infant granddaughter, one sister and one son-in-law. A Celebration of Life for Eileen was held by her family at the Gorrie Hall on Sunday, October 22nd from 1- 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 307 Howick.
