Obituary

Mervin “Peanut” Dodds passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Friday, October 24th. He was in his 89th year. Mervin is predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years, Margaret “Gidget” Dodds (2024). He is survived by his son Michael Dodds of Calgary and daughter Kimberly (Chris) Stevenson and their children of Edmonton. He is missed by siblings Eileen Leitch of Guelph, Lynda Neilson of Fergus and John (Jackie) Cripps of Glen Allen, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Elizabeth Dodds, son, Terry Dodds, and siblings, Don Dodds, Faye Button and Ivan Dodds. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held for his family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mervin’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice, and are greatly appreciated by his family.
