Dave passed away in Edinburgh, Scotland on Dec 31st, 2025, surrounded by his loving progeny. Dave was born in 1956 in Mount Forest and spent his early years on the family farm outside Kenilworth. Beloved husband of Anne Marie Dineen (nee Esposito) for 43 happy years. Immensely proud father of Cristina Dineen (Jason) and Adam Dineen (Carolyn). Delighted grandfather of Clara, Miles, and Lucy, all of Edinburgh. Survived by his six siblings Diane (Mogens) of Halton Region, Paul of Mount Forest, Reg (Brenda) of North Perth, Leonard (Linda) of Ingersoll, Stephen (Maureen) of Kenilworth, and Gerald (Wafaa) of Milton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Regina Dineen of Arthur Township. Dave enjoyed extensive international travel with the ideal travel companion, his vivacious and inspirational wife Anne Marie. He experienced success in various careers: award-winning journalist, standout marketing communicator, online banking trailblazer, and retirement researcher. Special thanks to the caring and kind doctors, nurses, and medical staff of the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, Bruntsfield Medical Practice, and NHS Scotland. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dave are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place. His ashes will be placed in Canada, Scotland, and Italy.
