Gord Delaney of Erin in his 80th year died peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Beloved husband of Joanne Charter for 55 years. Loving father of Steve Delaney and wife Joan of Erin, Karen Delaney-Laupacis and husband Andreas of Toronto, Susan Brady and husband Andrew of Fergus and Christine Tofflemire and husband Kirk of Ariss. Cherished grandpa of Allison, Jessica, Marin, Megan, Dylan, Alexandra, Jeffrey, Jenna, Zac and Luc. Dear brother of Doug Delaney and his wife Betty of Erin. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Mildred Delaney. Gord will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Rested at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St. S., Erin where the Funeral Service had taken place on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation was on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment at Erin Union Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Erin Agricultural Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
