DEGROOT, Gus; Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital on November 4, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by his longtime partner Norrie Pawsey (2006). Will be remembered by his brothers Murk (Akke – 2004) de Groot and Uiltje (Gertje) de Groot. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers John and Jaring and his sisters Maaike and Pietje. Gus was well known in the community, and for decades was the milk truck driver. Thank you to the staff at Groves Memorial Hospital for their care and support. Visitation will take place at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church St, Elora on Monday, November 10th from 11:30 – 1:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 pm.
