Dawson, Muriel; Passed away at the Palmerston & District Hospital in Palmertson on March 31, 2011 at the age of 92. Muriel was born on February 3, 1919 in Moncton, New Brunswick to Florence Gray and George Ralph Dawson. She is survived by her brother, Lloyd Alexander Dawson, nephews Stephen Lloyd Dawson (Brenda) and James Phillip Dawson of Fredricton, New Brunswick and John Charles Dawson of British Columbia. Muriel is predeceased by her parents, brother Denzil Ralph Dawson, sister Dorothy Florence Dawson, niece Audrey Lee Dawson and sister-in-law Mary Alice Dawson. After graduating from Moncton High School, Muriel went to work in a photo studio in New Brunswick. She came to Toronto in the late 1940’s to work in a photo studio where she took up air brushing to restore old photos, a job she continued after retiring. During her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, membership in a camera club and she had a great love of cats. Private arrangements entrusted to the Thomson Funeral Home. Muriel is to be cremated and returned home to be interred in the family plot in New Brunswick. In memoriam, donations may be made at the funeral home or online to Cats Anonymous.
