Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arnold Ervin Davison, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Arnold was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Arnold’s passion for education was evident throughout his distinguished career as a school principal, where he touched the lives of countless students and colleagues. Outside of his professional life, he found joy in his many hobbies, including gardening, woodworking, and curling. He had a special place in his heart for Shelties and was often seen with his beloved dogs by his side. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Cheryl Davison, and his daughters, Kimberley Young and Carolee Bolt (John). Arnold was a cherished grandfather to Charlotte and Harper Young, and Davis and Lacey Bolt. He is also survived by his twin brother Murray Davison and younger brother Wayne Davison (Rosemary), his brother-in-law Bill Halpenny, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours. The family invites you to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1-4pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus, ON. This will be a casual drop-in style event held upstairs in the Wellington Room, with elevator access available. Please join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
