It is with heavy hearts we share the news of the peaceful passing of Norman Craigie in his 88th year on February 7, 2019 at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest. Beloved husband to Sandra (Thomson) and previously Beth Valentine, father to Helen (Dave) and Norman (Nancy). He is also survived by his granddaughters Alison, Siobhan (Ben), grandson Colin (Becca) and great grandchildren Oliver and Everleigh as well as brothers and their families in both Scotland and New Zealand. Norm arrived in Canada from his birthplace Brechin, Scotland in 1957. He spent his career here managing a number of farms. Over the years, Norm became well known for his breeding of top of the line purebred border collies. In his later years, he acquired two clydesdale horses and thoroughly enjoyed participating in many plowing matches with them. A farewell gathering in honour of “Stormin Norman” will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00pm at 535 Oxford Street, Mount Forest. Please come and go at your leisure.
