Passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus at the age of 85. Paul was born on September 11, 1940 in Kingston, ON to parents Nyal and Lena Cook. Paul leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Sandra Jean Cook (Nee Milmine) and will be fondly missed by his three sons Chris (Nancy), Kevin, and Paul (Camilla). He was a proud and loving grandpa to Blake, Shawn (Jen), Drew (Nicole), Darren, Alec, Alicia and Vanessa and partners. Paul was a great-grandfather to Colton, Carter and Harlow. Paul is survived by siblings Tom, Marcy (Bruce) and sister-in-law Mary and their families and was predeceased by his brother Bob and sister-in-law Cathy. Paul was a dedicated teacher in Centre Wellington for many years where he primarily taught accounting. He was an avid hockey player and coach and enjoyed his membership in the Lion’s club and the local Legion. Paul enjoyed his retirement immensely where he relished spending time with his wife Sandra and his family. He especially enjoyed their time at the family cottage and on the many trips he and Sandy took throughout their life together. Paul was loved by many; he will be missed dearly by his countless friends, former students and many community connections. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the Fergus Legion in the new year.
