Brosseau, Officer Cameron J.; of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was born on May 13, 1968 in Etobicoke, Ontario. His parents Norman A. Brosseau, a retired Toronto Metropolitan Police Officer, and Jacqueline G. Brosseau now reside in Fergus, Ontario. Following a courageous battle with cancer, Cam died on October 2, 2010 at home with his family. Cam married Shelly Werling on September 5, 1992 after the couple graduated from Eastern Illinois University. They are the parents of one daughter, Carlie, age 11, and one son, Seth, age 5. The family resides in Franklin Township in Indianapolis. Additional immediate family members include one sister, Mindy Egger, and husband Peter. Cam was appointed to the Indianapolis Police Department on July 22, 2002. Cam served the department as a street patrol officer, robbery detective, and finally as a homicide detective. He was the recipient of numerous commendations and awards. Services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 1pm at the Southport Presbyterian Church with calling from 10am.
