BOWIE, James (Jim) Charles passed away peacefully on July 20, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born in Ottawa January 4, 1955 to Margaret (Margo) and Stewart, (Tate) Bowie. He is lovingly remembered by his common-law partner, Dawn McClure and her children, Tom and Anna Westwood, Jim’s son David (Sheri), David’s mother, Linda Ross, and his most loved grandchildren, Avery and Ella; his siblings, Gloria (Marv) Sobb, Gordon (Melanie), Joanne (Jim) MacKenzie, Michael (Janice), Tom, Paul (Nancy) and Frank. Jim is also fondly remembered by Val, Heather, nieces and nephews Marty (Allison), Matt (Rachel), Olivia, Chris (Meghan), Rob (Erin), Adam, Steve, Cristian, Kate, Andrea, Stephanie (Jonathan), Jay, Curtiss and Megan. He is affectionately remembered by many Bowie and Clement cousins, friends, colleagues and acquaintances. A celebration of Jim’s life will take place at Stonehenge, 265 St. David St., S., Fergus on August 30, 2015, 15h00 – 19h00. There will be a celebration of Jim’s life in Ottawa as well, which will be announced at a later date. Donations in Jim’s honour may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation, to benefit cancer research.
