Donald Ralph Beirnes of Listowel passed away at Palmerston Hospital on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in his 81st year. Loving husband of Joyce (Hill/Coulter) Beirnes. Proud father of Chantelle Beirnes & Joel Baker of Mount Forest, and Michelle & Carey Henderson of Calgary, Alberta, and grandfather of Makena and Tyler Henderson. Loved and missed by Joyce’s children Tammy & Ron Billings of Kitchener, and April Coulter & Steve McCallum of Elmira, by grandchildren Sheilina & Mark Goodwin, Justin & Alicja, Fletcher, Alyssa & Brad Vasey, Chace McCallum & Alyssa McMurray, and Jade McCallum, and by great-grandchildren. Brother of Bruce & Debra Beirnes of Elmira, Dave & Heather Beirnes of Listowel, Murray & Rhonda Beirnes of Listowel, Thelma Schumacher of Listowel, Ken & Deb Beirnes of Atwood, Harvey & Patti Beirnes of Atwood, and Maurice & Donna Beirnes of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Bryan Dippel of Listowel, and Connie Walker of Drayton. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William & Marguerite (McKee) Beirnes, brothers-in-law Norman Schumacher, and Tom Walker, and nephew Jim Schumacher. Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:00am with reception that followed in the church hall. The funeral will be livestreamed and the link will be available on the funeral home website. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Elma Township. Memorial donations to Palmerston Hospital or Listowel Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
