No one injured after small plane flips over

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – A pilot was not injured when a plane flipped over upon landing at Guelph Airpark last week.

Emergency crews were called to the small airport, located on Skyway Drive in Guelph/Eramosa, on July 18 at about 1pm.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that the single-engine plane flipped onto its nose shortly after landing on a runway,” stated a press release from the Wellington County OPP.

“The lone occupant of the aircraft, managed to exit on their own prior to emergency services arriving.”

Police say there were “no reported injuries to the pilot” and the damage estimate to the plane “is unknown.”

Transport Canada and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre were notified of the incident.
