Councillors here will meet on Tuesdays, rather than Wednesdays in the future.
Council agreed to change the day for regular council and committee of the whole meetings, when they met, Dec.15.
With a few exceptions, council meetings will now be held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
The January meetings were moved back to January 11 and 25 in order to give staff time to prepare for the meeting after the holiday break. Another exception is the first meeting in March, which will be held on March 9.
Mayor George Bridge said the move was made in part to accommodate council members’ schedules.
“We did a bit of a poll and a lot of council members seemed to have a conflict with Wednesdays,” he noted.
Bridge also pointed out the meeting dates now offset meetings of Mapleton Council, making it easier to schedule visits from shared Wellington County planning staff.
