New commander
LONDON
– The OPP has announced the promotion of Superintendent J.A. (John) Cain to the rank of Chief Superintendent, Commander of Western Region OPP.
Cain replaces Ron Gentle, who accepted a position as the Commander of Investigation and Support Bureau at OPP headquarters in Orillia.
Cain has served with the Toronto Police Service, Paris Police Service (Chief of Police), and the OPP. He has held various positions within the OPP.
