New Catholic school named
After a process of seeking over 55 nominations from students across the district, the Wellington Catholic District School Board selected the name of its newest elementary school to be built in Rockwood.
The new site will now officially be named Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School.
“The culmination of planning and business case preparation for well over a decade has come to a very positive outcome” cites Director of Education, Don Drone.
The actual site of the new school will be announced within weeks and the architectural firm of BJC is working with District staff to have the building designed, built and occupied by September 2015.
