An upcoming NeighbourWoods Tree Talk entitled The case for natives:  it’s even more compelling than you think features guest speaker: Eric Davies, a PhD student at The University of Toronto.

The event runs from 7:30  to 9pm on April 16 in the Harris Room of the Elora Arts Centre. The cost is $5, members free.

Davies’ research compares native and non-native urban tree species and involves examining the evolutionary ecology of non-native species, in terms of their ability to produce biodiversity and ecosystem services.

For more information about Davies’ work, visit his website at ericdavies.ca.

For more information about this tree talk, call Toni Elllis at 519-846-0841 or email neighbourwoods@eloraenvironmentcentre.ca.
