Nearly 100 attended Mayor’s Breakfast in Arthur on April 10

ARTHUR – Mayor Andy Lennox welcomed nearly 100 residents, business owners and community stakeholders to the Mayor’s Breakfast on April 10 at the Arthur and Area Community Centre.

The event featured a breakfast prepared by Linda Saunders, followed by a presentation from Lennox that included information on tariff supports, an overview of the 2024 strategic plan and completed items thus far, an overview of the growth management action plan, the 2025 municipal budget and highlights of the 2025 infrastructure capital projects program.

Lennox also answered questions from attendees at the end of the session.

“It was great to see such a large turnout,” Lennox said.

“We covered a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time.

“Hopefully those in attendance were able to take something away from the presentation and know that the township has been quite active in addressing known issues such as infrastructure, growth and information sharing in the past year.”

The presentation was recorded by Wightman Telecom and is available at youtube.com/watch?v=Qb3KrVn7wd0.

The Mayor’s Breakfast was established to enhance transparency and accountability with the public, demonstrate the township’s commitment to providing high-quality services to the community, and share activities from the past year, township officials say.

The 2025 Mayor’s Breakfast was made possible by the Township of Wellington North, with support from the County of Wellington.
