Christmas Bureau assist - A cheque for $2,382 was recently presented to Daphne Rappard, chair of the Mount Forest Christmas Bureau’s Christmas hamper program, by Mount Forest Lions Club president Marty Young. The money is from the Lion Club’s grocery raffle. Two people also donated the gift cards they won to the program, which annually helps ensure everyone in the Mount Forest area has a Merry Christmas with gifts under the tree and food on the table.

Rappard said “modified Angel Trees” with suggestions of gifts needed will be set up at The EcoDen, Young’s Home Hardware and perhaps other locations in town.

People can e-transfer donations for the first time this year, Rappard said.
