Mount Forest driver taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following crash

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A 47-year-old Mount Forest resident was transported by paramedics to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on March 1.

According to a press release, Wellington OPP responded to a crash around 12:45pm involving an SUV that "left the roadway" on Wellington Road 18, east of Fergus.

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Services and Guelph Wellington Paramedic Services also responded.

According to police, Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Belwood is expected to be closed until dusk.

With the cause of the crash still under investigation, police ask anyone with related information to call 1-888-310-1122.
