As of June 27 there is now a race for mayor in Centre Wellington.

Incumbent Mayor Kelly Linton will face off against Fred Morris (currently ward 4 councillor) to lead the township for the next term.

The ward 1 position is being sought by Ian McRae and incumbent councillor Don Fisher. Incumbent councillors Kirk McElwain has filed for ward 2, Dean Workman has filed for ward 3 and Stephen Kitras for ward 5.

At the county level, Ross Chaulk, Vinnie Green and Penny Renken are seeking the county ward 4 councillor job.

Former Centre Wellington councillor Mary Lloyd, who was appointed as county ward 5 councillor earlier this year, replacing Rob Black, has filed to run for the same position this year.
