WELLINGTON NORTH - A hunter has found the body of a man who disappeared here on Oct. 13. Dead is Michael Moran.

A woman had reported her son missing to the county OPP office in Mount Forest. The Mississauga man, Michael Moran, had left his mother’s van when she stopped on Highway 89 east of Mount Forest. The woman told police she was concerned for his well being as he had been depressed.

Officers from the West Region OPP Emergency Responses Team conducted a ground search of the area where the mother reported Moran had left the van; but were unable to locate the 41-year-old.

OPP Constable Mark Cloes reported that on Nov. 8 at about 2:15pm, a hunter reported finding a body in a bush area of his property. OPP officers went to the farm property along Highway 89 about 4km east of Conn. A deceased male was in a wooded area approximately 460 metres off the road. The deceased was taken to Hamilton General Hospital and a post mortem was conducted on Nov. 9. The cause of death was being withheld, but officers confirm that the death does not appear suspicious.
